VP of Manufacturing
The Vice President of Manufacturing is a Senior Executive responsible for developing and executing the manufacturing strategy required to support Tanis Brush's growth objectives. This role provides leadership across operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, continuous improvement, and supply chain execution while partnering with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, capacity expansion, workforce development, capital investment, and long-term business performance. The VP of Manufacturing will lead through subordinate leaders, including the Plant Manager, and focus on building scalable systems, talent, and processes that support sustainable growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
- Serve as the executive sponsor for safety, fostering a culture where safety is a core value and operational priority.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead initiatives that continuously improve workplace safety performance and employee engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies that improve product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational consistency.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve process capability.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.
- Provide strategic leadership to achieve world-class on-time delivery performance and customer responsiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize capacity, production planning, and operational throughput.
- Develop scalable manufacturing systems that support growth and changing customer demand.
- Establish and sustain a culture of operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Drive productivity, labor efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives that improve profitability and operational performance.
- Lead capital planning and operational investment strategies to support long-term growth and return on investment.
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service and production requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, and effective material flow throughout the operation.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Finance to improve inventory turns and working capital performance.
- Develop organizational capability through succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop operational leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to company strategy, growth initiatives, and enterprise value creation.

- Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated track record of success

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience is required.
- 8+ years of management experience preferred.
- Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred
- Lean Leader or Black Belt, preferred.
