Summary

Reporting to the Operations Support Supervisor, the Shipping Technician plays a key role in keeping operations moving. This position supports picking, packing, and shipping while adapting to changing daily priorities driven by incoming shipments, outgoing orders, and production needs. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as responsibilities rotate based on workload.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm, 8 hour days, 1st shift

Pay Range

$20-$22 hourly
All employees may be eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, label, and stage materials for shipment.
  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate freight pickups.
  • Verify orders, quantities, and product labels to ensure accuracy.
  • Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
  • Operate tools and equipment (saws, drills, presses, trimmers) as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Identify and escalate quality concerns promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and process development.
  • Perform additional duties as needed in alignment with company values.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and measuring tools
  • Effective communication skills

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of shipping/receiving experience
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license (or ability to obtain)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Active warehouse and light manufacturing setting
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and equipment use
  • Regular use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
