HR Generalist
Join our Human Resources team as an HR Generalist supporting employees and managers across the organization. This role manages essential HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, timekeeping, leave administration, and employee relations, serving as a trusted resource at all levels while ensuring compliance and exceptional service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
- Administer pre‑employment processes, new hire orientation, and initial training coordination
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and process employee status changes
- Serve as payroll liaison for timekeeping, PTO tracking, retro pay, and deductions
- Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, terminations, life events, COBRA, and open enrollment support
- Support ACA and HIPAA compliance and assist employees with benefits inquiries
- Administer FMLA and applicable state leave programs; coordinate short‑term disability cases
- Act as first point of contact for employee relations questions, policies, and attendance concerns
- Support engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal HR communications
- Assist with audits (I‑9, HRIS, benefits, payroll) and ensure proper file retention and data security
- Prepare HR reports on headcount, turnover, and absenteeism to support workforce planning

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with payroll processes a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
